Hyrox Training in Topsham, Maine

DöRū Fitness in Topsham, Maine runs dedicated Hyrox training classes built around the exact stations you'll see on race day: running, SkiErg, rowing, sled push and pull, farmer’s carry, burpee broad jumps, wall balls, and sandbag lunges. Classes are coached, constantly varied, and open to anyone training for an upcoming Hyrox event or anyone who just wants to change up their fitness routine. No race sign-up required to join.
What Is Hyrox Training?
Hyrox is a global fitness race that alternates 1K running segments with eight functional workout stations: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls. It's built to test endurance, strength, and mental grit in equal measure, which is exactly why "just running" or "just lifting" won't get you ready for it.
Our Hyrox training classes are designed to prepare your body for the cardio capacity needed, plus functional strength and the ability to switch between the two without falling apart.
What to Expect in a DöRū Fitness Hyrox Class
Every class uses the same categories of equipment and movement patterns you'll face on race day, programmed by our coaches so the intensity builds week over week. Expect to work with:
-
Running: pace work and interval running to build the engine
-
SkiErg: full-body pulling power and pacing strategy
-
Rowing: technique and sustained output under fatigue
-
Sled push and pull: raw leg drive and grip endurance
-
Functional strength stations: carries, lunges, burpees, and wall balls that mirror race stations
Programming is constantly varied so classes stay challenging and interesting, but the core movements always stay race-relevant.
Who Hyrox Training Is For
While most members in Hyrox training classes are working toward a race, you don't need to be registered for an event to join. Our classes work well for:
-
Athletes training for an upcoming Hyrox event who want race-specific prep
-
Runners and lifters who want a structured way to combine both disciplines
-
Anyone who wants to add intensity and variety to their current fitness routine
While those who are new to regular fitness are welcomed and encouraged to join our general fitness classes, Hyrox classes are best for those who already have a regular fitness routine.
Why Train for Hyrox at DöRū Fitness
DöRū Fitness isn’t new to Hyrox training. For more than a year, members have been training for the event. We’ve trained dozens of athletes to compete in the event, including two members who qualified for and competed at the 2025 Hyrox World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. Here's what sets DöRū Fitness apart:
Coached, not just programmed. Classes are led by owner and head coach Meagan Rudge, a Hyrox competitor, former Division I athlete, and IronMan triathlete who's been coaching group fitness since 2017. You're getting real cueing and scaling, not just a whiteboard workout.
Real race-day equipment. You'll train on the actual stations used in competition, not improvised substitutes. That’s where a lot of "Hyrox-style" classes at other gyms fall short.
Pack mentality. DöRū Fitness is built around individual goals with group support. You're pushing your own pace, but you're never doing it alone.
Local and accessible. We're right in Topsham at 5 Cross St., a quick drive from Brunswick, Bath, Freeport, and Lewiston. There’s no need to drive to Portland for race-specific coaching.
